Function Description Factory Set Chapter
1. RING DELAY Number of rings before the RING DELAY:02 6
MFC answers in Fax/Tel, TOLL SAVER:OFF

2. F/T RING TIME Sets the time for “F/T pseudo ring” 30 6
in Fax/Tel mode.
3. FAX DETECT Receive fax messages without ON 6
pressing the Start key.
4. REMOTE CODE Enter code to activate or OFF 6
deactivate your MFC from a ( 51, #51)
remote location.
5. REDUCTION Reduces size of image. AUTO 6
6. MEM. RECEIVE Automatically stores any ON 6
incoming faxes in its memory
if it runs out of paper.
7. POLLING RX You call another fax machine to STANDARD 6
receive a fax from it.
8. PC INTERFACE Turn on if PC is connected to ON
MFC for PC receiving of fax
message.

1. COVERPG SETUP Automatically sends a OFF 7
programmable cover page or
prints a sample coverpage.
2. COVERPAGE NOTE Program customized message -- 7
for fax cover page.
3. CONTRAST Change the lightness or AUTO 7
darkness of a fax you are
sending.
4. RESOLUTION Allows you to change STANDARD 7
resolutions page by page.
5. OVERSEAS MODE Special setting for international OFF 7
transmissions.
6. CALL RESERVE You can send a fax, then speak OFF 7
to the person operating the
other fax machine or print a
sample call back message.
7. TIMER Set the MFC to send documents -- 7
later.
8. POLLED TX Set Polled Transmission for STANDARD 7
someone to poll your MFC
to receive a fax from you.
9. REAL TIME TX When memory is full, you can OFF
send faxes in real time.
