9. Insert the lower section of the sliding seed tube in
the cap of the alternate meter.

10. Install the alternate meter and lower sliding seed
tube.
11. Engage the upper latch. Make sure the tapered
line-up pins near drive sprocket engage completely
in line-up holes.
12. Engage the lower latch.
Changing Precision Seed Wheels
Use the same wheel part number in all active rows.
Wheels for 10HDP precision meters are green in color.
Although similar in appearance, Great Plains wheels in other
colors are not compatible with 10HDP meters. Use only green
wheels in 10HDP meters.
1. Shut off seed flow to the meters with the sliding cap.
See “Seed Tube Shutoff” on page 54.
2. Clean out meters. Leave clean-out doors open. See
page 107 or page 109.

At each meter, push in on the wheel retainer and
turn it until the cross pin is out of the detents and in
the slots.
