*Note: All Jmp1 pins 1, 4, and 6 and all Jmp2
pins 7 and 8 are connected internally inside the
scale connector.
**External Zero Control Line: The optional zero push
button or footswitch will use the I/O port with pin
9 designated as the zero signal input and pin 5 as
the signal ground reference input. This circuit is
normally open and requires a voltage free contact
of a minimum duration 100ms across these two
pins to initiate a remote zero request. The unit will
not support both RS-232 and remote zero without
a special Y-cable installed.
Any system errors detected by the scale will be
displayed as a one-digit error code. Press the TEST
key to continue operation. The scale error codes
are defined as follows:
Err-1
Calibration Error
If a calibration error “Err-1” occurs, the only
way to clear it is by re-calibrating the unit.
Err-2
Configuration Checksum Error
If a configuration checksum error “Err-2”
occurs, the only way to clear it is by ac-
cessing the Configuration menu (CONF)
and resetting all the parameters (filter,
baud rate, sensor settings). If the error per-
sists, contact the factory for servicing.
Err-3
Initial Zero Error
If an initial zero error “Err-3” occurs, power
the scale off, remove all weight from the
scale, and reapply power. If the error does
not clear, then re-calibrate the scale. If the
error persists, contact the factory for
servicing.
