Err-4
Zero Error
If a zero error “Err-4” occurs, it is because
the weight was not stable, or it was under
capacity (lower dashes), or over capacity
(upper dashes) when the zero request was
performed. Let the weight stabilize
and then attempt to zero again. If the
weight will not stabilize, then re-calibrate
the scale. If the error persists contact the
factory for servicing.
If the unit is equipped with the photoeye sensor,
the sensor codes indicate the status of the sensor.
They are displayed during the display test routine.
The sensor status codes are defined as follows:
SEn-1
Sensor operational
SEn-2
Sensor off (must be manually turned on)
SEn-3
Sensor temporarily disabled (ambient light
conditions unfavorable)
SEn-4
Sensor automatically re-enabled and
operational
1. The NCI scale you have purchased is manufac-
tured with a precision load cell. It will provide
years of service if protected against overload.
To prevent overload, do not place or drop heavy
items above the rated capacity on the scale
platter, or drop the scale itself.
2. DO NOT use sharp objects on the display lens
or to push the ZERO or TEST buttons on the
scale display.
