On some models, the scale comes equipped with
two magnetic strips to mount the display to any
suitable surface. Remove the backing from one of
the magnetic strips and attach with the sticky side
down onto the back of the display enclosure.
Remove the backing from the other magnetic strip
and place the sticky side down onto a clean
surface where the display is to be located. The
display can now be attached to this surface by
centering onto this magnetic strip. The display will
also adhere to any carbon steel surface with just
the magnetic strip secured to the back of the
enclosure.

After the NCI Model 61xx is properly installed and
powered on, the display will automatically scroll
through a series of messages including the scale
model number, program revision, sensor status (if
equipped - see SENSOR CODES section) and then
perform a countdown display test. The scale will
then automatically zero “0.00” if within the allow-
able range. The unit is now ready for normal op-
eration. If the scale weight is outside the allow-
able initial zero limit of 25% of capacity the scale
will display the error message “Err-3. Verify the
weight on the scale is within the appropriate limits
and reapply power to clear the error.

Gross Weighing
1. Start with the scale at zero “0.00.

2. Place the item to be weighed on the scale

platter.

3. When the displayed weight has stabilized, it

will show as the gross weight.
