10.3.1 Enable/Disable a Queue
The 9145E has four queues: LLQ Q3, Q2, Q1. This function allows you to enable only the
queues that are in use. Type the appropriate number for the queue you want to enable or disable.
NOTE: The LLQ cannot be disabled and the LLQ size cannot be set to zero (0).
Press the Space bar to select enabled or disabled. Press Enter to confirm setting.
10.3.2 Queue Size (In 8K-Byte)
NOTE: The queues require a size parameter range between 1 and 1000. If you
enter an invalid size parameter, INVALID INPUT will appear at the bottom
of the screen.
NOTE: CoS parameters may not be accurate if measured with single size packets
when queue sizes are configured to be smaller than 100KB. This is due to
a fixed 16KB transmit buffer and a memory that is aligned to 16-byte
blocks.
The queue size can be any value from 8KB to 8 MB.
Type the appropriate number to change the queue size; 2 for LLQ, 4 for Queue 3, 10 for Queue 2
or 16 for Queue 1. Press Backspace to remove the old setting, then type the new setting. Press
Enter
to confirm setting.
