The throughput test can only generate traffic out the network port. The test IP is the only IP
address that can be used for the test. The user has to enable this feature from the license
manager screen (see Chapter 7, Utilities).

4.7.1 Test Setup

On the Diagnostics menu (see Figure 4-1), type 7 and press Enter. The Throughput Test screen

(Figure 4-12) opens.

1. Target IP Address Type the target 9145E Test IP address.

2. Outer Tag Type Type the outer tag type. Press the Space bar to select:

C-TAG: Customer tag, Ethertype 0x8100

S-TAG: Service tag, Ethertype 0x88A8. Set between 0 and 4094. A VLAN ID of 0
means the test data packets will not be double tagged.

3. Outer Tag VLAN ID

4. Outer Tag CFI Specify the Canonical Format Indicator (CFI) value (0 or 1).

5. Outer Tag Priority Set the frame priority level from 0 (lowest) to 7 (highest) to prioritize different

classes of traffic.

6. Inner Tag VLAN ID Specify Inner Tag VLAN ID between 0 ~ 4094. A VLAN ID of 0 means the test

data packets will not be double tagged.

7. Inner Tag CFI Specify the Canonical Format Indicator (CFI) value (0 or 1).
