5.3. DC BUS CAPACITORS
The DC bus capacitors have a useful life of 200,000 hours (22 years). The
capacitor life depends on the operation of the active filter and the environmental
conditions and, especially, on the ambient temperature.
The active filter capacitors are maintenance-free, except when the unit is started
up after long storage ( Refer to 3.3.- STORAGE FOR LONG PERIODS .).
6.- SOFTWARE UPDATE
The AFQ-4W software can be updated with a memory that should be supplied
by the CIRCUTOR technical service.
The complete software update of the unit is divided into two parts:
1.- Controller software update.
2.- Display software update.
The material required for the full update is:
 CIRCUTOR memory stick
 USB memory stick with the Vx.yz_CIRCUTOR software ( x.yz: software
version no.)
The version of the controller software and the display software must
be the same. Two different software versions can leave the active
filter inoperative.
To check the current version of the software, access the filter data screen
( Section 4.3.4.- FILTER DATA ).
6.1. CONTROLLER SOFTWARE UPDATE
Update the unit controller software as follows:
1.- Place the AFQ-4W in STOP mode and turn off the main switch
(OFF position).
2.- Wait 5 minutes for the energy accumulated in the capacitors to discharge.
3.- Remove the protection board to access the controller board.
4.- Locate the controller board.
