7.2.3.1 Power Input
The PEM is designed to operate from -36 V to -75 V and can withstand 100 V transients for at
least 10 μs and 200 V transients for at least 5 μs. A 30 A breaker is utilized to provide shelf
protection. The breaker is equipped with finger guards.
7.2.3.2 Power Filtering
The PEM is equipped with input power filtering. The implemented filter supports up to 50 A.
The filter provides transient voltage immunity conforming to IEC 1000-4-4 Part 4 for electronic
fast transient/burst immunity, test level 1 in accordance with NEBS generic EMC requirements.
