1.3 Shelf Management
The shelf manager is a main component of the shelf management system. It is compliant to the
shelf management functions as described in the AdvancedTCA Specification. The shelf
management system is designed to be used in AdvancedTCA systems and its purpose is to
ensure proper operation of AdvancedTCA blades and other system components like fans and
Rear Transition Modules (RTMs).
