If you are having trouble with the operation
of this unit, please try the following before
seeking repair. If these measures do not solve
the problem, please contact the store where you
bought the unit, an authorized distributer or a
TASCAM Customer Support.
Power will not turn ON. ª
Confirm that the batteries are not dead. •
Confirm that the batteries are installed with •
the correct +/– orientation.
Confirm that the AC adapter (TASCAM PS-
•
P515U, sold separately) is firmly connected to
both the socket and the unit.
Confirm that the USB cable (if used for USB
•
bus power supply) is firmly connected.
Confirm that the USB cable (if used for USB
•
bus power supply) is not connected via a USB
hub.
The unit does not function. ª
Confirm that the • HOLD switch is not set in the
direction of the arrow.
Is the unit connected to a PC with the USB •
cable? (Is
USB connected
shown on the
display?)
The microSD card is not recognized. ª
Confirm that the microSD card is inserted •
completely.
Playback does not work. ª
If you are trying to play a WAV file, confirm •
that the sampling frequency is supported by
this unit.
If you are trying to play an MP3 file, confirm

that the bit rate is supported by this unit.
The speakers do not work. ª
Are headphones connected? •
