7. After making the settings, press the F1 [BACK]

button to return to the

MASTERING COMP

screen.

8. Press the F2 [ON] button to turn the compressor

ON/OFF. The

MASTERING COMP

screen shows

whether the mastering compressor is ON or OFF.

button to return to the

MASTERING

screen.

Normalizing master tracks

You can normalize to automatically adjust the

volume. The unit determines the highest volume level

of the track and then increases the volume of the

entire track so that the highest level is the maximum

possible.

CAUTION

If you use the mastering equalizer or compressor

after normalization, distortion could occur.

Always normalize after using the mastering

equalizer and compressor to adjust the sound.

1. When in

MASTERING

mode, press the F3 [NORM]

button to open the

NORMALIZE

screen.

2. Press the F4 [EXEC] button to normalize the track.
3. After normalization completes, press the F1

[BACK] button to return to the

MASTERING

screen.

Copying a stereo master track

You can use the clone track function to copy a stereo

master track to another track. (See “CLONE TRACK

(track duplication)” on page 60.)

Exiting mastering mode

Press the BOUNCE/MIXDOWN/MASTERING button

to exit

MASTERING

mode and return to

MULTI

TRACK

mode.
