Operation
Button Functions
The button legend is typically the salvo name.
Selection
Any button page available at the panel might have one or more selection buttons. The buttons
are typically arranged in a row or matrix that would make sense when you scroll entries
displayed on the selection buttons.
In X-Y mode, a selection button selects or deselects a level (on which a take can occur). In MD
mode, a selection button selects or deselects an MD device to which a take will occur. A selec-
tion button is high-tally when its associated level or MD device is selected and low-tally
otherwise.
If the panel has more levels (in X-Y mode) than selection buttons or more MD devices (in MD
mode) than buttons, scrolling is enabled. If your panel has ‘Page Up’ and ‘Page Down’ buttons
on that button page, you can scroll through the list of levels or MD devices.
When you scroll the selection buttons using the ‘Page Up’ or ‘Page Down’ buttons, the legends
on the selection buttons change to newly displayed selection entries.
 When all levels are selected, pressing a level button turns them all off except the one
pressed.
In X-Y Mode
Deselecting levels in X-Y mode prepares a breakaway take.
Hold mode preserves the level selection after a take. See Hold .
In MD Mode
When your panel is in hold mode (i.e., you have pressed a ‘Hold’ button), you can select more
than one destination at once. If your panel is not in hold mode, MD destinations are mutually
exclusive: you can select only one at a time.
If you have enabled ‘Hold’ mode,
1 Select one or more MD devices. Scroll the MD device display as needed to locate the devices.
2 Select a source.
3 Repeat steps 1 and 2 until your presets are complete.
4 Press ‘Take’. The selected MD devices remain selected.
If you have not enabled ‘Hold’ mode,
1 Select an MD device. Scroll the MD device display as needed that device.
2 Select a source.
3 Repeat steps 1 and 2 until your presets are complete.
4 Press ‘Take’. The selected MD devices become unselected.
The panel configuration might allow you to redefine certain MD destinations. To do so is simple:
(1) select an MD destination on a selection button, (2) choose a destination that is not on a
selection button. You might have to navigate or scroll through a destination list to choose one.

A source button selects a source. (Note that a quick source button selects a source and also
performs an immediate take.)
