1.3.2 Message Transmission Between Controllers

(1) Message Communication (1:1)

In ladder application, it is possible to read and write the registers, relays and coils where MEMOBUS protocols were

used between the GL series programmable controller and the MP2000 series machine controller, by using the
MSG-SND function block and MSG-RCV function block. In addition, it is possible to send any data to the counter-party
by general-purpose messaging (non-procedure). (GL40, 60 and 70 only support slave functions.)

(2) Message Communication (1:N)

Message transmission (group SEND) is possible to any station group (setting the group number into each station

beforehand is necessary). In addition, message transmission (broadcast transmission) between all the stations is
possible. Group transmission and broadcast transmission can be used for MEMOBUS messaging and
general-purpose messaging. (However, in the case of MEMOBUS messaging, it is only possible to use write
commands. Read commands cannot be used.)
