Using the Interface

When you log on to Map Editor, you are asked to log on to a section. All configurations that are made

reflected in the section in ACUS. The menu bar and tool bar are displayed on top of the screen. The

application name appears on the upper-left corner. In the centre, ‘Welcome <Installer Name>’ and the

name of the logged on installer is displayed. The user interface of Map Editor is arranged in panes. There are

three panes, the Project Explorer, Properties and Tool box. The visualization map is displayed in the centre.

Displaying and Hiding Components

The Project Explorer, Tool Box and Properties panes are dockable.

To collapse a Project Explorer pane:

1. On the Project Explorer pane, click

(Auto Hide), the Project Explorer pane collapses and appears

as a tab in the margin.

2. To view the pane, place your cursor on the Project tab. The pane slides on the UI.

3. To expand the pane, place your cursor on the Project tab and click

. The Project pane is displayed.

Note: Follow the same process to collapse or expand the Toolbox and Properties pane.

To move a pane:

You may move any of these three panes (Project Explorer, Toolbox and Properties) and place them

anywhere on the UI.

1. Click the pane which you want to move and drag. For example, drag the Project pane. The following

figure appears.
