A

ACIS

Access Control Installer Station is a Web based station in order
to create and handle all the installer functions.

Account

An operator creates an account in the ACOS for each client. Each
client has only one account and can have multiple sections in the
account.

ACUS

Access Control User Station is the application that serves the
customer personnel and allows the customer to configure, monitor
and apply routine day to day tasks of the Risco Access Control
(RAC) system that are in the customer’s scope of work.

Installer

The ACIS user is called installer. An installer belongs to the
company that installs RAC system at the client site.

OTP

One Time Password is a type of Password that is provided to
the user to use it only once i.e. for the first time they are using
the application. Once logged on you need to change it.

R

RAC

RISCO Access Control is the R&D code name of the new
product and project.

Relay

A device used to connect to external device for example:

• To

open

the

door (Electric Lock)

• To generate alarm sound

Relays are part of AC IO board

RSP

Risco Server Platform – A system which manages Risco
applications (such as the RAC, Detection application, CCTV,
Fire and so on).

It comprises servers and physical entities installed at
customer premises and all the software which manages them.

Currently it handles only RAC.

Section

A section is a logical configuration unit into which an account can
be divided. Sections are created by the installer using ACIS.

Sensor

A device used to receive inputs from the outside world in order
to:

• Detect if a door is open (opening sensor)

• Request

to

enter

(REN)

• Request to exit (REX).

• Open the door only on specific condition (Conditional

Sensor)

• Detect if a tamper attempt is done on the AC box

• Detect break-in attempt on a window

Sensors are part of the AC IO board

Z

Zone

Zone is the physically controlled area in the section. Each section is
divided into multiple zones.
