Critical, Alert, and Emergency. The default severity level is Alert. The severity can be one
of the following levels:

Emergency

. The highest warning level. If the device is down, or not functioning

properly, an emergency log message is saved to the device.

Alert

. The second-highest warning level. An alert log message is saved if a serious

device malfunction occurs, such as all device features being down. Action must be
taken immediately.

Critical

. The third-highest warning level. A critical log message is saved if a critical

device malfunction occurs, for example, two device ports are not functioning, while
the rest of the device ports remain functional.

Error

. A device error occurred, such as a port being offline.

Warning

. The lowest level of a device warning.

Notice

. Normal but significant conditions. Provides the network administrators with

device information.

Informational

. Provides device information.

Debug

. Provides detailed information about the device.

The Total Number of Messages field shows the total number of persistent log messages
that are stored on the switch. The 128 most recent entries are displayed on the page.

The FLASH Logs table displays the log messages, if any.

The following table describes the nonconfigurable information displayed on the page.
