These instructions are divided into three sections.
• “Getting started” (page 1.1) covers only what you have to know to
use your machine immediately.
• “Beyond the basics” (page 2.1) provides more details. When you
have time, look through it to learn more about your machine’s
many features.
• Finally, “Just in case … ” (page 3.1) helps you if you ever have a
problem with your machine. It also tells you how to give your
machine the kind of easy, sensible care that should keep troubles to
a minimum.

Find your serial number and write it down
Please note that your machine’s serial number
is located on the bar code label as shown on
the drawing at right. Use the blank at the bot-
tom of this column to copy this down before
you set up your machine.
Note: The ID label, required by government
regulations, do not contain serial
number information.

thing like this, but with a different set of
numbers:
