RESTORING FACTORY-DEFAULT SETTINGS

Restoring factory-default settings resets all Setup and Advanced
Setup menu parameters to their factory-default setting and deletes
all passwords, Setup menu shortcuts, bookmarks, preferred disc
settings, and program lists. Before restoring factory-default
settings, it is recommended to record all user-defined settings on
the installation worksheet that begins on page A-17.

Note:

Front panel buttons must be used to restore factory-
default settings. Remote control buttons cannot be
used.

To restore factory-default settings:

1. Record all user-defined settings on the installation worksheet

that begins on page A-17.

2. If the RT-10 is powered off, proceed to step 3. If the RT-10 is

powered on, press the front panel On/Off button to power the
RT-10 off.

3. Press and hold the front panel Stop button.

4. While holding the Stop button, press the On/Off button to

power the RT-10 on. The message "RESET OK" should appear
on the front panel display. If it does not, factory-default settings
have not been restored. Begin again with step 1. If problems
persist, contact Lexicon Customer Service at 781-280-0300 or
www.lexicon.com.

DISC MAINTENANCE

Disc surfaces that have been marked with fingerprints, dust, or
other dirt can be cleaned. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to
lightly wipe the disc from its center hole to outer edges. Wipe
with straight strokes as shown below (right). Do not wipe with
circular strokes as shown below (left).

If needed, use a soft, lint-free cloth soaked in alcohol or a
commercially available DVD or CD cleaning kit to clean the
disc. Do not use benzene, thinner, or other cleaning products,
including those designed to clean vinyl records.

Refer to the Disc Care & Handling section that begins on page
1-8 for information about preventative maintenance.

Dirty or damaged discs such as those shown below might
affect playback performance or damage the RT-10. Do not
attempt to load cracked, chipped, scratched, warped,
dirty, or otherwise damaged discs in the disc drawer.
