Component Video

Progressive, Interlace

Controls component video output format when the RT-10 is using
the component video output connectors. Select Progressive if the
associated display device provides a progressive-scan component
video input connector. Select Interlace if the associated display
device does not provide a progressive-scan component video input
connector.

When Progressive is selected:

The picture might appear stretched on the associated display
device screen if a video source recorded in 4:3 format is present
and the RT-10 or the display device is configured for a 16:9
aspect ratio. To correct this, configure the RT-10 or the
display device for a 4:3 aspect ratio. Refer to the TV Screen
parameter description on page 3-25 and the table on pages
3-25 and 3-26 for more information.

The picture will not appear on the associated display device
screen if the display device does not provide a progressive-scan
component video input connector. To correct this, set the
Component Video parameter to Interlace and configure the
RT-10 for a different video output connection to the display
device.

The RT-10 converts video sources recorded on film to 60
frames-per-second to create a more natural picture. Refer to
the Pure Cinema parameter description on page 3-30 for more
information.

Progressive-scan component video output is only available
for NTSC discs.

Note:

The RT-10 is not compatible with all high-definition
display devices, which might produce video artifacts
in the picture.

Video Out

Video, S-Video, RGB

Controls video output format when the RT-10 is using the Euro or
Peritel (TV A/V) connector. When Video is selected, the RT-10
passes composite video signals to the associated display device.
When S-Video is selected, the RT-10 passes S-video signals to the
associated display device. When RGB is selected, the RT-10 passes
RGB and composite video signals to the associated display device.
The composite video signals serve as sync.
