The following example sets the interval for which a router waits for a server host to reply to 5 seconds.

5.18.6 radius-server deadtime
The radius-server deadtime global configuration command improves RADIUS response times when servers are unavailable.
The command is used to cause the unavailable servers to be skipped. To reset the default value, use the no form of this
command.
Syntax
radius-server deadtime deadtime
no radius-server deadtime
ƒ deadtime — Length of time in minutes, for which a RADIUS server is skipped over by transaction requests. (Range: 0 -
2000)

The default dead time is 0 minutes.
