becomes valid) is greater than or equal to the rthreshold, and direction is equal to rising or rising-falling, then a single

rising alarm is generated. If the first sample (after this entry becomes valid) is less than or equal to the fthreshold, and

is equal to falling or rising-falling, then a single falling alarm is generated.
