The window "
Meas. environment" opens
With the menu point "
Measuring range" you
can define the measuring range of the sensor
deviating from the "
Min/Max-Adjustment".
As a standard feature the measuring range
normally corresponds to the min./max. ad-
justment.
Generally it will be suitable to choose the
measuring range approx. 5 % larger than the
range determined by the min./max. adjust-
ment.
In the example the min. adjustment was at
0,500 m and the max. adjustment at 3,400 m.
In the example you would adjust the measur-
ing range to 0,4 … 3,5 m.
• Save the adjustments with "OK"
• Click in the menu window "
Meas. environ-
ment" to "Measuring condition".
• In the menu window "
Measuring conditions"
you click to the options corresponding to
your application.
• Confirm with "OK".
After some seconds of saving during which
the adjustments are saved in the sensor, you
are again in the window "
Meas. environment".
• Click in the menu window "
Meas. environ-
ment" to "Quit".
You are again in the menu window "
Sensor
optimisation".
Echo curve
With the menu point "
Echo curve" you can
look at the course and the strength of the
detected ultrasonic echo.
If due to vessel installations, strong false
echoes have to be expected, a correction of
the installation position (if possible) can help
to localize and reduce the size of the false
echo by monitoring the echo curve.
