NOTE: On switchers with smaller matrix sizes, the larger-numbered buttons are not used
for input and output selection, although they are used to select and indicate
preset numbers, indicate the input audio level, and indicate the output audio
volume.
The illuminated pushbuttons can be labeled with either text or graphics. The buttons can be
set to provide amber background illumination all the time or the background illumination
can be turned off (see “
Background Illumination ”). The buttons blink or are lit at full
intensity (depending on the operation) when selected.
Input and Output Buttons
NOTE: See “ Front Panel Operations ,” later in this chapter for detailed descriptions of
all of the following functions and operations.
Primary functions
Action: Press a button: Select input or output for tie being created.
Indication: Blink: potential tie/untie.
Lit amber: current video and audio tie
Lit green: current video only tie
Lit red: current audio only tie

Secondary functions
I/O Grouping Action 1: Input 1 and Output 1:
Select I/O Group mode.
Action 2/
Indication: Assign an input or output to the selected group.
Lit: Input or output is assigned to the selected group.
Presets Action
Indication: Select a preset in Preset mode.
Lit: A preset has already been saved to this location.
Blink: Preset location is selected to be saved.
Input audio
level Action/
indication:
(inputs) Press a button: Select an input for audio gain and attenuation adjustment.
Lit: An input is selected for audio adjustment
Indication:
(outputs) Indicate the gain or attenuation level.
Output audio
volume Action/
indication:
(outputs) Press a button: Select an output for volume adjustment.
Lit: An output is selected for audio adjustment.
Indication:
(inputs) Indicate the output volume level.
Audio/RS-232
mutes Action
Indication: Outputs: Press and hold to mute the output.
Outputs, blink: Output is muted.
