2-2-6 Manual Install
This section describes the manual installation steps for Storage Analyzer.
2-2-6-1 Overview
For performing manual install, user will need to FTP some files and follow the installation procedure
described below. This is not a recommended process.
2-2-6-2 Process
For the Manual Installation, use the WS_SW\Manual Install\ascii and \binary folders from the CD as
specified bellow.
o The following files need to be transferred in ‘ ASCII ’ mode to $volume.sub volume
o MAKEWSA
o LICSADLL
o INSTSA
o SABAMIMP
o The following files need to be transferred in ‘BINARY ‘ mode to $volume.sub volume
o STPSA
o RMVSA
o SAMGR
o SAPROC
o SAWFRAG
o SASVR
o SAGETF
o SAHRLY*
o SAINI
o SADLL
o SAEVTS
o WSATMPAK
o Obey the Install file ‘INSTSA’.
o Set your working volume to $system.zwvps (or to $volume.sub volume where you have
transferred the files)
o Issue ‘OBEY INSTSA’
This sets the file code for object files, sets the appropriate file security, licenses necessary
files, OBEY’s MAKEWSA which creates the necessary key-sequenced files viz. ALDEFFX,
ALDEFDD, ALDEFFD, ALDEFFH, DDAILY, DFRAGF, DMATRIX, DRUNLOG, DSUBVOLS,
SACNFG
Once these data files have been created, their file security is set to NNUU.
Finally, the manual installation program, STPSA, is run which collects user input regarding the
Web ViewPoint install location, port numbers etc. as shown in the figure below:
