This section lists the configuration options that exist in the ENSCRIBE files which can be modified
via the Storage Analyzer

This is the number of parallel SA Host processes to
run for the daily data collection. Each of the
processes is assigned a disk and as soon as that
process is done collecting data for the disk, it is
assigned a new disk; until all the disks have been
processed The SA Host processes run with the
specified process priority.

The volume where daily collection data files are
stored. Inside the specified volume, data files are
collected in sub volume that follows the
SAyymmdd” format.

This is the maximum number of days to retain data
collected. Once the retention period is over the data
files and associated will be deleted.

File old age
criteria.

about files that have not been opened for the
specified number of days (or more).

File Index levels.

the specified value.

Disk

Selected disk from a
list of available disk
names.

This is used to specify the disk for which the alerts
are to be generated. For disk alerts, $* can be
specified which means that all the disks will be
scanned for matching the criteria.

Sub volume

sub volume names.

This is used to specify the sub volume for which the
alerts are to be generated.

Enable / Disable

This is an indicator of whether the alert should be

This is the user defined EMS Event # for the
generated alert message.

Critical or Normal
(Default is Normal)

Used to assign type to the generated alert EMS
message (i.e. normal or critical).
