4-5 Disk Analysis
This section explains the information that users can gather about a particular disk on the current
node and its sub volumes.
4-5-1 Overview
Users can drill down to a particular disk and monitor its usage. The Disk property page gives an
expanded view of the various disk attributes and the alerts generated by it. It also displays
information about sub volumes belonging to the disk.
4-5-2 Description
Clicking on a disk in the Tree Hierarchy changes the Central Display. Two tabs namely “Properties”
and “Sub Volumes” are shown. The “Properties” tab is displayed by default.
This page can be also accessed by clicking on the desired disk from Volumes tab in the Central
display section.
4-5-2-1 Disk Properties
The “Properties” tab displays the following information:
 SCF Configuration – This displays whether a disk is physical or not. A “Show physical link(s)”
button is displayed which launches a window displaying the SCF configuration of a disk. This
window displays the pool to which the disk belongs to and the physical disks and logical disks
that pool contains
 Storage – Displays the size (GB) of the disk, percent usage, usage in GB, available space in GB
, and free fragments count on the disk based on extents. Clicking this will display the
fragmentation window. This is not shown if the chosen disk is logical.
 Content – Displays the total files on the disk. This also displays the file counts for specific
categories and Recoverable Space in MB.
 Disk Alerts –Displays the number of daily disk alerts categorized by their severity.
 File Alerts–Displays the number of daily files alerts categorized by their severity.
 Trend – Displays the sub volume trending window.
 Print – Prints the Content table.
 Export to Excel – Exports the Content table to MS Excel.
