4-2-2-2 Volumes

The second tab displays Storage Analyzer’s Volumes screen. This contains details about all the
volumes/disks that are present in the system. The default display displays all the disks, irrespective of
the Alerts, but users can

filter the display based on alerts

. This information comes from the data

collected and stored as per the settings in

Runtime Admin

.

The Volumes tab has the following elements:

 Disk – name of the disk.
 Alerts – number of daily disk alerts for the disk based on the alerts criteria set from Alerts

Admin.

 Count – number of files on the disk at the time of collection.
 Over 90% Full – number of 90%-99% full files on the disk at the time of collection.
 100% Full – number of full files on the disk at the time of collection.
 Corrupt – number of corrupt files on the disk at the time of collection.
 Licensed – number of licensed files on the disk at the time of collection.
 PROGID – number of PROGID’d files on the disk at the time of collection.
 Audited – number of audited files on the disk at the time of collection.
 New – number of files created on the disk between 00:00 hrs and the start time of the collection.
 New Licensed – number of newly licensed files on the disk since the last collection (calculated

by comparing the current collection’s license file list with the previous collection’s licensed file
list)

 New PROGID – number of newly PROGID’d files on the disk since the last collection (calculated

by comparing the current collection’s PROGID file list with the previous collection’s PROGID file
list)

 Old Files – number of old files on the disk (files unopened for specified number of days in

“Older than” field during

Runtime Configuration

) at the time of collection.

 Unused Files – number of files, at the time of collection., that were never opened on the disk
 Reload – reload candidate files on the disk (files with index level criteria specified in the Index

Levels field during

Runtime Configuration

) at the time of collection.

 Part. – number of partitioned files on the disk at the time of collection.
 DeAlloc. – number of deallocatable Enscribe files on the disk at the time of collection.
 Recoverable Space (MB) – amount of space (MB) which can be deallocated on the disk.

Note: The “New PROGID” and “New Licensed” files are calculated based on the list of files in that
category for the previous collection. If it is a first time run, all the files in category “X” will also be
reported in the “New X” files category since there is nothing to compare with initially.

Each of these attributes is clickable links. Clicking on a particular number opens up the relevant
