Displaying OSPF V3 Information

This display shows the following information.

Displaying OSPF V3 neighbor information

You can display a summary of OSPF V3 neighbor information for the Brocade device or detailed
information about a specified neighbor.

To display a summary of OSPF V3 neighbor information for the device, enter the show ipv6 ospf
neighbor command at any CLI level.

Syntax: show ipv6 ospf neighbor [router-id ipv4-address]

The router-id ipv4-address parameter displays only the neighbor entries for the specified router.

This display shows the following information.

OSPF V3 memory usage information

Field

Description

Total Static Memory Allocated

A summary of the amount of static memory allocated, in bytes, to OSPF V3.

Total Dynamic Memory Allocated A summary of the amount of dynamic memory allocated, in bytes, to OSPF V3.

Memory Type

The type of memory used by OSPF V3. (This information is for use by Brocade
technical support in case of a problem.)

Size

The size of a memory type.

Allocated

The amount of memory currently allocated to a memory type.

Max-alloc

The maximum amount of memory that was allocated to a memory type.

Alloc-Fails

The number of times an attempt to allocate memory to a memory type failed.

Summary of OSPF V3 neighbor information

Field

Description

Router ID

The IPv4 address of the neighbor. By default, the Brocade router ID is the IPv4 address configured
on the lowest numbered loopback interface. If the device does not have a loopback interface, the
default router ID is the lowest numbered IPv4 address configured on the device.

Pri

The OSPF V3 priority of the neighbor. The priority is used during election of the DR and BDR.

State

The state between the Brocade device and the neighbor. The state can be one of the following:

Down

Attempt

Init

2-Way

ExStart

Exchange

Loading

Full

DR

The router ID (IPv4 address) of the DR.
