Click the Use the following IP address radio button and enter the IP
address of 169.254.0.11. Enter a Subnet mask of 255.255.0.0.

All other entries can be left blank.

6.

Click OK on the two open dialogs, and Close the Local Area Connection
Status window.

Windows 7

1.

From the Start menu, choose Control Panel>Network and Sharing
Center.

2.

Click Change adapter settings, and double-click Local Area Connection.

3.

Click Properties under the General tab to open the Local Area
Connection Properties window (

Figure 9

).

4.

Scroll through the list and select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP)
under the General tab.

5.

Click Properties to open the Internet Protocol Properties window
(

Figure 10

).

Click the Use the following IP address radio button and enter the IP
address of 169.254.0.11. Enter a Subnet mask of 255.255.0.0.

Click OK on the two open dialogs, and Close the Local Area Connection
Status window.
