Basics of Programming the Drive

Using the OIM

To program the drive using the OIM, you change the settings for parameters that affect
your application. This chapter describes how to:

access the parameters and make changes to them

restore factory default values for the parameters

use a password to protect your programming

For parameter descriptions and general information about parameters, see the
software I/M.

Appendix A of this I/M lists the OIM parameter names cross-referenced to the
parameter names used in the software I/M.

Appendix B of this I/M describes the full menu paths for accessing the parameters.

4.1

Accessing OIM Menus and Parameters

OIM menus and parameters are accessed in program mode. To select program mode,

press

until the key indicator says PROGRAM.

If you exit from a menu or parameter list using

, the last menu or parameter that

was displayed is displayed when you return to program mode. To go to the Main Menu

in this case, press

until GV3000 Main Menu is displayed at the top of the

screen.

4.1.1 Accessing the Menus

When you enter program mode for the first time after power up, the Main Menu is
displayed, as shown in figure 4.1. Other menus are accessed from the Main Menu.
