J-1939 and Cruise Signal Error

Overview

This fault code indicates that VORAD failed to communicate with
the engine over the J-1939 data link.

Detection

Starting at key on and throughout the operation, the VORAD
Central Processing Unit constantly monitors the communication
with the engine ECU. If a communication fault occurs for more than
5 seconds, this fault is set.

Fallback

This fault causes a failure of the Bendix

VORAD

system

SmartCruise

®

option.
