4.4.4 Installing the Riser Card Assembly onto the Server Board
1. Align the fork on the riser card assembly with the pin on the rear chassis panel. (“A” in Figure 35 )
2. Attach the riser card assembly to the server board by inserting the riser card edge connector into
the super slot header on the server board. (“B”)
3. Fasten the blue captive screw on the riser card assembly to the server board. (“C”).
Caution: Touching the battery with a metallic object, such as any part of the PCI riser assembly,
can momentarily short the battery.
4. If this is the last task you are performing, replace the processor air duct and the top cover of the
chassis. Reconnect all the external devices and plug in the power cord(s).
