FCC INFORMATION

Attention users in the U.S.A.

PortaTone PS-6100 is prepared in accordance with
FCC rules.

The PortaTone PS-6100 uses frequencies that appear in the

radio frequency range, and if instalied in the immediate
proximity (within three meters) of some types of audio or
video devices interference may occur.

The PortaTone PS-6100 has been type tested and found

to comply with the specifications set for a Class B
computing device in accordance with those specifications
listed in Subpart J of Part 15 of the FCC rules. These rules
are designed to provide a reasonable measure of protection
against such interference. However, this does not guarantee
that interference will not occur. If your PortaTone PS-6100
should be suspected of causing interference with other

electronic devices, verification can be made by turning your
PortaTone PS-6KX) off and on. If the interference continues
when your PortaTone PS-6KX) is off, PortaTone PS-6KX)
is not the source of the interference. If your PortaTone
PS-6100 does appear to be the source of the interference,
you should try to correct the situation by using one or more
of the following measures:

Relocate either the PortaTone PS-6KX) or the electronic

device that is being affected by the interference.

Utilize power outlets for the PortaTone PS-6100 and the

device being affected that are on different branch (circuit
breaker or fuse) circuits, or install A/C line filters.

In the case of radio-TV interference, relocate the

antenna or, if the antenna lead-in is a 300 ohm ribbon lead,
change the lead-in to a co-axial type cable.

MEMORY RESET BUTTON

A RAM (Random Access Memory) is employed for the PS-6100's
Custom Drummer and Music Programmer. This memory system
is able to retain stored data for more than seven days even after
the power is switched off because voltage remains in the con
denser. However, if the PS-6100 is not used for more than 10-14
days, this voltage drops and the stored data is affected. If you
use your PS-6100 under this condition, abnormalities may
occur in the rhythm and other functions. To normalize the
keyboard's operation press the MEMORY RESET button, which
clears the stored data from the memory.

How to use the Memory Reset button

1. Remove the black rubber cap identified by the word "RESET"

on the back of the PS-6100.

2. Press the button for 3-5 seconds with a small screwdriver

or similar too!.

3. Replace the rubber cap.
