To resolve the problem:

1.

Examine the power module model.
The LSTM2PSRA and LSXM1AC2000 power modules are available for the S12510-X AC and
S12516-X AC switches. The LSTM1PSRD power module is available for the S12510-X DC and

S12516-X DC switches.

2.

Examine the power cord connections. If a power cord is loose, re-plug the power cord.

3.

Replace the power cord and verify that the power module status LEDs are normal.

4.

Examine the power module installation. Re-install the power module to make sure it has a close

contact with the backplane of the switch. For more information, see "Installing FRUs."

5.

Examine the power supply system. Make sure the power supply system is operating correctly and
providing a normal voltage.

6.

Examine the power module. Make sure the power module does not have problems such as output
short-circuit, output over-current, output over-voltage, input under-voltage, or over temperature.

7.

Install the power module to another slot. If the power module can operate correctly, the previous
power module slot is faulty. If the power module cannot operate correctly, see the next step.

8.

Install a normal power module into the same slot, and connect it to the same power input end. If the
new power module can operate correctly, the old power module has failed. Contact your sales

agent or local service engineer to replace the old power module.

9.

If the problem persists, contact H3C Support.

Fan failure

The MPU and the fan tray provide the fan tray LEDs (OK and FAIL LEDs) to indicate the fan tray status. If

the OK LEDs are off and the FAIL LEDs are on, the fan tray is faulty.
For an S12510-X AC/S12510-X DC switch, the FAN LED on the front panel of the chassis indicates the

operating status of the fan trays.

If the FAN LED is green, all fan trays are operating correctly.

If the FAN LED is red, a minimum of one fan tray is faulty or no fan tray is installed.

An S12510-X AC/S12510-X DC switch supports two FAN trays for 1+1 redundancy. If only one fan tray
is used, install it in the slot FAN2 to ensure good ventilation.
An S12516-X AC/S12516-X DC switch has one upper fan tray FAN1 and one lower FAN tray FAN2.

Make sure both fan trays are installed on the switch and can operate correctly.
To resolve the problem:

1.

If both LEDs are off, verify that the power modules are operating correctly. For more information,
see "

Power supply system failure

."

2.

Use the display fan command in any view to display the operating status of the fan tray:

{

Whether the fan tray is present

{

Airflow direction of the fan

{

Number of fans in the fan tray

{

Operating status of each fan

{

Fan speed
