Card power consumption

The power consumption of the cards depends on the card model and state.

Table 20

shows the power

consumption for different card models.

The static power consumption of a card refers to the power consumed by the card when the card is
running but all ports on the card are down and when no transceiver module is available on the

optical interface of the card.

The dynamic power consumption of a card refers to the power consumed by the card when all the
ports on the card are link up and send broadcasts.

NOTE:

The model of a card is LSXM-prefixed on the card package and LSX-prefixed or LSXM-prefixed on the
card panel. For example, LSX1SUP10A1 and LSXM1SUP10A1 identify the same card. When you order

a card, refer to the card by its LSXM-prefixed model.
