Locking or Changing Image Brightness before Shooting

Movies

Before shooting, you can lock the exposure or change it in 1/3-stop

increments within a range of -2 to +2.

Lock the exposure.

Press the [ ] button to lock the

exposure. The exposure shift bar is

displayed.

To unlock the exposure, press the [ ]

button again.

Adjust the exposure.

Turn the [

] dial to adjust the

exposure as you watch the screen.

Shoot (= 65).

Enter [ ] mode.

Set the mode dial to [ ].

Press the [ ] button, choose [ ] in the

menu, and then choose [ ] (= 28).

Black bars are displayed on the top and

bottom edges of the screen, and the

subject is slightly enlarged. The black

bars indicate image areas not recorded.

Configure the setting to suit the

movie (= 169).

Shoot.

Press the movie button.

To stop movie recording, press the movie

button again.
