Manual IIS Setup Security Requirements

When you use SQL Server and IIS reside on different computers, please be
aware of the following security requirements.

The installer must have administrative privileges on the PC.

You may only use SQL Server Authentication with SQL Server.

A domain account is required.

Since IIS and SQL Server reside on different computers, the Create IIS
Dependencies Utility cannot be used to configure IIS and SQL Server
permissions; they must be manually configured. Please refer to

“Manual

IIS Setup” on page 27

.

Set the Sync URL setting in the Batch Utility to: http://{IIS
Computer Name}/IntelliTrack/sqlcesa35.dll
. For
more information about the Sync URL setting, please see

“Sync URL

Setting” on page 44

.
