Setting Validation Data Options in the Batch
Portable Utility
The Send Data form in the Batch Utility contains four tabbed areas: Items,
Inventory, Picking, and Receiving. Select CE Portable > Send Data
from the main menu in the Batch Portable Utility. The Send Portable Data
form appears with the Items tab to the front.
Serialized Item Information If item data is not downloaded, but
the serial number feature is
enabled, the CE Client application
will assume all items are serialized.
If item data is downloaded, and
system uses serial number fea-
ture, the CE Client application will
prompt you for an item serial num-
ber during receive/pick order and
auto receive/auto pick order func-
tions for each item and during
inventory move and inventory count
functions for each item.
Inventory Data Inventory download is optional.
If inventory options are not
selected, inventory data will not be
sent.
All inventory items or specific
inventory item(s) may be sent.
Inventory item information may be
sent for a specific site.
Location information for inventoried
items is automatically sent.
Unit of measure information, lot,
expiration date, and serial number
(if applicable) is automatically sent
with inventory items, as per the set-
tings in the System Options form/
Features tab.
