Auto Receive Existing Order: Add
new order detail to an existing
receiving order, or change the order
detail in an existing receiving order
at the handheld device Open orders in the system (via downloaded order data or
newly added orders) will be available for selection.
The Vendor ID cannot be changed.
The Line Number is checked to make sure it is unique to
the order in the downloaded order detail.
If item data was downloaded, order items are limited to
the list of downloaded items. –However–
If item data was not downloaded, any item entry is
allowed AND item data is not validated.
Location selection is validated and limited to the down-
loaded location list.
Inventory data such as serial number, lot, expiration date,
and quantity are not validated; all values are accepted.
Unit of measure is limited to the downloaded UOM list.
Pick: Process existing picking orders
in the system at the handheld device The picking order number is validated. You must down-
load open picking order data. Only orders in the down-
loaded data or open orders in the CE Client application
will be available for selection. You cannot pick an order
that is not part of the open order list in the CE Client
application.
Order detail information (Customer Bill To, Customer
Ship To, Items, and Ordered Quantity) is limited to the list
from the downloaded order data. Invalid values are not
allowed.
Location selection is limited to the downloaded location
list.
If inventory data was downloaded, inventory information
is validated for all applicable values (serial, lot, expiration
date, unit of measure, quantity). If you enter inventory
that is not found in the downloaded data, a warning mes-
sage appears, but lets you add the data.
If inventory data was not downloaded, inventory data is
not validated; all values are accepted for the inventory
detail (serial number, lot, expiration date, and quantity).
Unit of measure is limited to the downloaded UOM list.
