Introduction
After setting up the Stockroom system, begin initializing the system with
inventory data. If you have not already done so, IntelliTrack recommends
that you complete the tutorial for this module. The tutorial provides the
basics of building an inventory database and this chapter introduces
advanced Stockroom features.
Consider the following three methods of preparation:
• Manual Entry: Manually enter inventory information, including loca-
tions, into the Stockroom system.
• Import: Import existing inventory information from another system
(such as a spreadsheet) into the Stockroom system. Add inventory
details later.
• Receipts: Build the inventory database while receiving or inventory
items.
Creating Locations
Locations reside within a “Site” and are added to a site at the Location
form. When you create locations for a site, the warehouse space is divided
into specific areas. The following information is required to add a location
and must be entered in the Location form.
Important: Using this form is optional if the site and location data are
already present.
