1. Disconnect the heater from its electrical supply and

close all fuel supply valves to the heater.

2. Open the burner end access door or remove the

access panel.

3. Remove the screw(s) that secure the pilot assembly to

the burner.

ATTENTION

Some models may require removal of a single wing screw

which holds the pilot assembly to the burner.

4. Clean the pilot assembly using a soft brush or

compressed air.

5. If necessary, use the appropriate wrench to loosen the

pilot line’s compression nut at the orifice inlet and to

remove the orifice from the pilot bracket. You may

need to remove the pilot bracket from the burner to

accomplish this.

Allow the pilot assembly to cool before servicing.
