Quick Connect Limitations

The 1769-HSC is not compatible with the 1769 adapter’s Quick
Connection operation. The 1769-HSC does not respond quickly
enough to adapter requests after startup. In general, modules that
require longer than 650ms after power is applied to respond to the
adapter will not be compatible with the adapter’s Quick Connect
mode of operation.

If a mix of power supplies is used in your adapter system, the slowest
power supply must be installed in the first bank. This will ensure that
the adapter will recognize the modules in the second and third banks
(if installed). Power must be applied to all power supplies in a
multi-bank system at the same time.

In Quick Connect mode, the adapter will accept I/O connection
requests prior to the completion of the Duplicate MAC ID check
completing. If an I/O connection is started, and then the Duplicate
MAC ID check fails, the adapter will terminate the I/O connection,
instruct all the modules to take their configured FAULT action, and
cease communicating on the network.
