4-4 Configuring Your Compact I/O Series B DeviceNet Adapter

Follow these steps to assign banks to each module:

a. Select the desired module and choose Properties.

You’ll see a screen similar to this.

b. Enter the bank number in the Bank field.

c. Choose OK.

Note: A second I/O bank may be necessary if your bank 1
power supply has an insufficient power budget for the I/O
modules required for your application.

Note: Make sure your bank-to-bank expansion cable (e.g.
1769-CR1) is in the last (right-most) component of bank 1.

TIP

To save time, assign the bank numbers to the
first (left-most) modules in each bank, starting
with bank one. The software ripples the bank
modification down the list when you choose
OK.
