Parameter Descriptions

The following sections describe the parameters that can be used with
either the RS-232C device or the keyboard wedge device.

Host Interface Code

Allows you to select the host device.

Code types

Allows you to select the appropriate bar code symbology.

Code 39 Full ASCII

Allows you to assign a code for letters, punctuation marks, numerals,
and most keys on the keyboard.

The first 32 codes are non-printable and are assigned to keyboard
control characters such as backspace and return. The other 96 codes
are printable codes except for space and delete.

Code 39 Full ASCII interrupts the bar code control character ($+%/)
preceding a code 39 symbol and assigns an ASCII character. For
example, when code 39 Full ASCII is enabled and a +B is scanned,
the equivalent is b.
