If Mahalanobis Distance is used for sample selection, you can identify samples on the 3D cluster plot
by double-clicking on the cross representing the sample. A check mark will appear next to the sample
name on the product tree.
Right click on the screen to see the properties of the sample selection method.
Creating a new Sample Selection method
It is possible to try a new sample selection method without loosing the result of the previous trial. In
order to do it:
1. Click on Select/New Method. All graphs will reset.
2. Follow the standard sample selection procedure.
3. The results of previous sample selection methods can be viewed by choosing the proper
method screen from the Window submenu.
Saving the library products
1. If multiple sample selection methods were attempted, makes sure that the method you want
to save is in the active window. If necessary, switch to the proper method.
2. To save the results in the library, choose Select/Save Results. If the Acceptance or Rejection set
contained any spectra, you will have an option to save them for library validation purposes.
