An alternative method is to click on Configure/Options from the main Data Acquisition menu.

When the Master Standardization option is checked, the Select Master Equation button
becomes active. Click the button and select the global project standardization equation.

Note: Vision has to be connected to the Host instrument in order to be able to select global
equation.

Selecting and changing product-specific standardization equation

In Data Acquisition mode, click on Edit Products.

In the dialog that opens, select a product by clicking on it.

Select Master Eqn. from the Mode field and click on Edit.

In the Select Master Equation window choose the appropriate equation and click on OK.

You can also change the assigned equation or delete it by clicking on Delete.

Master Standardizing existing spectra

Enter Data Acquisition mode in Vision.

Select the equation you want to use to standardize existing data as the global project

standardization equation (see Selecting Global Project Standardization Equation section).

Select the spectra to be standardized (selected spectra will have a check mark and be

displayed in the plot).

Click on Master/Standardize Sample(s).

Vision will standardize selected spectra.

Note: Spectra can not be standardized twice. Vision checks for previous standardizations and will
issue a warning if the previous standardization is detected.

Enabling Master Standardization in qualification library

Master Standardization will be enabled in a qualification library if the option Master Standardized is
checked in the Create New Library window (qualitative sample selection mode). A Master
Standardized library will filter out non-standardized spectra during sample selection. Only Master
Standardized libraries can be used in Operations Methods with the Master Standardization option
activated.

Enabling Master Standardization in calibrations

Master Standardization will be enabled in a calibration equation if the option Master Standardized is
checked during quantitative sample selection. A Master Standardized calibrations will filter out non-
standardized spectra during sample selection. Only Master Standardized equations can be used in
Operations Methods with Master Standardization option.

Enabling Master Standardization in Routine Analysis

Master Standardization will be enabled in Routine Analysis if the option Master Standardized is
checked during Operations Method setup.
