Evolving Factors – displays Evolving Factors plot. The plot has to be configured from

Operations Method setup window.

Block Average - displays the control chart with averages calculated on blocks of results. The

chart has to be configured in Quant Setup.

Block RSD - displays the control chart with Residual Standard Deviation calculated on blocks

of results. The chart has to be configured in Quant Setup.

Qual Trend - displays the trend chart of predicted Qual values.

Combined Block RSD - displays the control chart with Residual Standard Deviation calculated

on blocks of results for all constituents in the selected product. The chart has to be configured
in Quant Setup.

Trend chart with end point estimation

Trend chart can be used to estimate the end point of a batch reaction. When the trend chart is used
for this purpose, Vision fits a pre-defined curve (straight line, exponent, or parabola) to the block of
last acquired analytical results (the size of the block is configured by the user). Then Vision
extrapolates the curve and calculates the time left to reach the end point (target value). The
calculated time is displayed on the trend chart.

To configure Vision for end point estimation:

Enter Edit Operations Method dialog.

Click on Configure Views button and select Trend Chart as one of the views. Click on OK

when done.

Click on the Quant Setup button.

Select a product. If a calibration is not linked to the product, attach appropriate calibration.

Scroll to the middle of the spreadsheet.

Click on the spreadsheet cell in the chosen equation column in the row marked "Curve fit".

From the "Curve Fit" list below that becomes active, select the function for curve fitting

(linear, exponential, or parabola).

Type in the target value and group size (the size of block of results used for the curve fitting).

Remember to define the Y-axis minimum and maximum value for the trend chart.

Output Setup Button

Click on Output Setup button to configure items to be saved, displayed, and printed during routine
analysis.
