Cart Assembly

Clear Cart Rack

2.

Remove all loose components from the floor of the
cart rack. Release and remove any held on by
straps or ties. Leave secured any parts held by U-
Bolts.

Remove Transport Wheels

Refer to Figure 10
The cart transport tire assemblies are directional:

168-380K 23.5/55-26 TIRE/20-10BLT WL RH

168-381K 23.5/55-26 TIRE/20-10BLT WL LH

For ease of later identification, preserve any markings or
tags that record the part numbers.

Position the hoist or lift to support a wheel.

4.

Remove the four nuts

, bolts and washers that

secure the wheel to the rack. These fasteners are
not re-used.

5.

Move each wheel to a secure spot where the wheel
cannot fall over or roll away.

Free Cart Frame

Refer to Figure 11
6.

Position a hoist or lift to support the cart frame.
Attach lines to shipping eyebolts provided on the
mating flanges for the tongue.

7.

Remove seven sets of U-bolts

(only five are visi-

ble in Figure) that secure the rear of the cart frame
to the lower rack mounts. These fasteners are not
re-used.

8.

Remove two sets of U-bolts

that secure the cart

right side to the mid-height mount. These fasteners
are not re-used.

Pinch / Crush Hazard:
The cart frame usually moves as the next nuts are loosened.

9.

Remove two sets of U-bolts

that secure the cart

right side to the tallest mount. These fasteners are
not re-used.

10. Lift the cart frame free of the stand. Move the cart

frame to the center of the assembly area.

Remove Wheels from Cart Rack

Crushing and Roll-Away Hazards:
Take precautions to prevent tire tipping. Use a hoist, rather
than a forklift, unless the workers are experienced tire han-
dlers. The tire/wheel assemblies are heavy. They tend to
remain standing on their own, but are easily tipped over, and
can roll away on any but perfectly level ground.
