Install Walkboard Extension
This applies only to the 5290 liter (150bu) single-hopper
configuration. For other configurations, continue at
“Install Railing” (step 32).
Install Extension Mounts
Refer to Figure 21
29. select one [1] each:
266-216D NARROW WALKBOARD EXT CTR MNT
select two [2] sets:
802-017C HHCS 3/8-16X1 GR5
804-013C WASHER LOCK SPRING 3/8 PLT
803-014C NUT HEX 3/8-16 PLT
With the 3-hole platform on top, loosely install the
extension center mount
on the frame center
weldment at holes .
30. Select two [2] each:
266-215D NARROW WALKBOARD EXT END MNT
and four [4] sets:
802-155C RHSNB 3/8-16X1 1/4 GR5
804-011C WASHER FLAT 3/8 USS PLT
804-013C WASHER LOCK SPRING 3/8 PLT
803-014C NUT HEX 3/8-16 PLT
With the center lug/break on top, lug toward drill cen-
ter, loosely install the end extensions
in the top
two holes of the outer front reflector angle mounts.
Install Walkboard Extension
31. Select one [1]:
266-214D NARROW WALKBOARD EXT X 107A
and five [5] sets:
802-079C HHCS 3/8-16X1 1/4 GR5
804-011C WASHER FLAT 3/8 USS PLT
804-013C WASHER LOCK SPRING 3/8 PLT
803-014C NUT HEX 3/8-16 PLT
Loosely attach the walkboard extension to the
new mounts ( , ) with bolts from above.
Loosely attach the extension to the main walkboard
with horizontal bolts at holes
.
Bring all newly installed nuts to finger tight, adjusting
mounts and walkboard extension as needed to elimi-
nate gaps. Tighten nuts to torque spec.
Install Railing
32. Select two [2] new:
266-126D HANDRAIL MOUNTING PLATE
and four [4] sets:
802-155C RHSNB 3/8-16X1 1/4 GR5
804-011C WASHER FLAT 3/8 USS PLT
804-013C WASHER LOCK SPRING 3/8 PLT
803-014C NUT HEX 3/8-16 PLT
Install the plates at holes or . Orient each
plate’s tube section toward drill center, tube through-
hole on bottom.
33. Select one railing assembly and two [2] sets:
802-382C HHCS 3/8-16X2 1/4 GR5
803-078C NUT LOCK 3/8-16 NYLON INSERT
With the decal side to front, insert the railing
assembly
into the railing plates .
Secure with bolts and lock nuts . Tighten
nuts only until bolt head is snug against plate tube.
Do not tighten to torque spec.
Re-Install Manifold Gauges
34. Select the saved:
266-197D GAUGE MOUNT BRACKET
and two [2] sets:
802-079C HHCS 3/8-16X1 1/4 GR5
804-011C WASHER FLAT 3/8 USS PLT
804-013C WASHER LOCK SPRING 3/8 PLT
803-014C NUT HEX 3/8-16 PLT
Re-mount the gauge bracket at holes . Bolts pass
through bracket, railing weldment, walkboard (or
extension) and walkboard mount (or ext. mount).
Secure nuts to torque spec.
35. Re-connect sense line hoses to gauges. On a
two-hopper drill, be sure that L(I)/R(II) hoses con-
nect to L(I)/R(II) gauges respectively. Secure with
clamps
.
